Write for us

We welcome pitches that help readers notice how showbiz works beyond the finished performance. Send a focused proposal through the Contact page, with enough detail for us to understand the question, its scope and why it suits Curious Showbiz Review.

What suits the publication

We consider original, reader-friendly ideas about screen personas, publicity, fandom, entertainment formats and showbiz history. Strong proposals examine a specific object, convention or occasion and explain what a reader will understand more clearly by the end. A fresh angle on a familiar subject is more useful than a broad survey.

What to include

Tell us the working title, central question, likely structure and the examples you would use. Explain what is distinctive about the angle and flag any details that would need careful verification. A short sample or a link to relevant published work can help show your approach, but it is not a substitute for a clear pitch.

Sending a proposal

Send your proposal through the Contact page and select the editorial option. Please pitch the idea rather than submitting a complete article unless we have asked for one. We cannot promise acceptance or a response by a particular date; any next steps can be discussed if the subject is a fit.
