Curious Showbiz Review

Editorial policy

Curious Showbiz Review aims to make thoughtful, readable work about entertainment culture. We separate what can be established from what is our interpretation, describe our limits plainly and correct meaningful errors when they are brought to our attention.

Accuracy and context

We check names, titles, dates and other factual details against reliable material available to us, and take care not to turn a promotional description or a repeated anecdote into established fact. Where a piece interprets an image, format or custom, we make clear that it is interpretation. We avoid claims about private lives that cannot be supported and do not present conjecture as reporting.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made for reader interest and relevance to the publication’s subject. A commercial relationship does not buy favourable editorial treatment, and contributions are considered on their merits. We do not imply access to private or confidential information.

Corrections

Readers can use the Contact page to identify an error and point us to the relevant passage. We review correction requests and, when a material error is confirmed, amend the text and add a clear correction note where appropriate. Differences of interpretation are not automatically factual errors, but we consider specific, well-supported concerns.

Partnerships and illustrations

Paid, gifted or otherwise collaborative material is labelled clearly so readers can tell when a commercial relationship is involved. Partner placements are identified as such and kept distinct from editorial choices. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where that is the case, the image is identified, and illustrations are not offered as documentary evidence.
